Saying goodbye to the summer season is nt always easy, but September is not a month to dismiss. Say hello to autumn and embrace! This time of year with a renewal and shift of energies, we bring attention to our home interiors. Every year, we seem programmed to begin a new process of preparing ourselves for the long winter months ahead, ignoring the gloomy skies and adorning our homes with new decoration and grandeur.

What are you planning this autumn and where will your inspiration be drawn from?

At this time of year there is an abundance of interior events and natural clues around us to take in. Let me guide you.

Nature

This time of year, the entirety of England expels its beauty with the turning of the leaves into a blazing show of autumn golds, yellows, and woody hues. The roadsides transform into a carpet of dazzling beauty. So here we are blessed with a free hand out of inspiration from nature’s own.

Interior Design Shows Galore!

As Interior designers, we all enjoy our helping of the yearly visit to the likes of the big Interior Design shows such as Decorex, Syon Park, London, visit 17-20 September for a feasting of inspiration on an international level, and ‘Focus/17’ at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour. With over 120 exhibitors and 100 design experiences is not a dynamic to be missed. Open to the public, a must to visit on 20-22 September this autumn.

Smart Homes.

For all you techs out there a smart home may be a joy to behold. For others may seem unnecessary, but here is what is involved: An advanced automation system installed in the home that can control heating, lighting, security, door and window operations as well as CCTV. Sound impressed? We collaborate with Automated Smart Homes, where they cover your every need for that well synced home.

Let the outside bring inspiration in.

We all know that location is important to us, and when choosing a house some people buy on those very grounds as opposed to the inside of a property. If you have some amazing view to behold bring it in even if you live opposite an industrial estate, there is always some form or texture to draw upon. Here are some examples of fabrics and wallpapers that have used inspiration from the environment. Nature is a good call. Garden, riverside, lake or terraced close there always some element to reference to.
