We are really pleased to have been selected as one of 6 designers to design a room set based around this years theme at Grand Designs LIVE in London at the Excel around the theme of colour blocking.

Colour Blocking is  a trend that has periodically to come back into fashion since the ‘70s.

colour blocking LondonBy selecting zones on a wall or ceiling and painting them a different colour from the main wall colour. You can use this technique as an easy and really effective way to highlight a feature or simply dress up a a drab, empty wall.

The idea is to inspire visitors to give them ideas for their interiors whether they are looking for key items of furniture such as sofas, tables, chairs and lighting or simple stylish accessories. It’s a showcase geared towards spring and colour blocking.

The sets are placed around a central “Interiors theatre” where there will be many celebrity Interior Designers and people from the building industry holding talks through out the week. It has certainly been a challenge to meet the demands of such an occasion and we are really looking forward to seeing the other designs on show at Grand Design Live.

colour blocking London ShowOur design is a media-related combined small library area.  Highly vibrant with natures favourite colour  combination of green and white, spliced with a sunny buttercup yellow and inky blue backdrop.

There is a colonial and rain forest mix and we have a had a wallpaper specifically designed for this feature which is an exotic theme embracing the rain forest and toucans. We have called it ‘Toco Paradisia’ and it was specially designed for us by Charlotte Jade.
We had enormous fun getting together and producing this unique wall covering and would not hesitate in recommending Charlotte to anyone wishing to work with a talented designer.

So many great companies have contributed to this set and we are extremely grateful with special thanks to The London Sofa Company and too Charlotte of course.

We do hope you will find the time to visit us at this prestigious Interior Design Show in London from the 2nd of May to the 10th of May inclusive.  In the meantime, if you feel inspired, do call us on our number above or contact us using our contact form which can be found on this page.
